The FIFA World Cup 2024 is the 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international men’s football championship contested by the senior men’s national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The tournament will be hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, marking the first time that the tournament will be held in three countries and the second time that it will be held in North America (after the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States). The tournament will feature 48 teams, up from 32 teams in the previous edition.
The FIFA World Cup 2024 qualifiers will begin in June 2023 and will conclude in March 2024. The draw for the qualifiers will be held in Zurich, Switzerland, on December 1, 2022. The teams will be divided into eight groups of six teams each. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2024.
